Kate is a fertility specialist, gynaecologist and reproductive endocrinologist, completing her advanced training in fertility (CREI) in 1998 and she has been with Melbourne IVF since then! She is currently a Clinical Director and Head of Clinical Research at Melbourne IVF.

Kate holds and academic appointment as Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Melbourne, Royal Women’s Hospital, Melbourne, where she is the Head of Reproductive Services which operates Australia’s first truly public fertility and IVF service, providing care for all of Victoria.

Kate has a range of special interests within the field relating to fertility hormones and complex medical issues, and her particular passion is the clinical and research aspects of medical fertility preservation. She is involved in a variety of expert committees and special interest groups both nationally and internationally working to improve fertility options for young cancer patients.

Kate received the award of the Order of Australia in 2022.
